Our History

 Prakash Engineering Ltd was founded in 1978 by Ravi Prakash, P.Eng. in Alberta, Canada. In 1979, Ravi relocated his firm to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and welcomed his first employee, technologist Jim Brown. Prakash Engineering began building their firm’s reputation for exceptional building design and project leadership through numerous projects and community based initiatives in the city of Prince Albert and throughout Saskatchewan.

In 2005, Prakash Engineering Ltd became Prakash Consulting Ltd with the welcome of Martin Kiffiak, P.Eng. as a partner in the firm, along with Jim Brown. In 2006, Prakash Consulting welcomed its newest partner, Bradley Johnson, P.Eng. to the firm. Together with a strong support team of Engineers, technologists and administrators, Prakash Consulting continues to grow and provide exceptional service and Engineering expertise to a wide range of clients on many unique and exciting projects throughout the western provinces.

At Prakash Consulting, we value personalized service for each of our clients as each project is unique with its own challenges and rewards. We believe in treating our clients, consultant partners and staff with respect and honesty as an important tenet of our firm. Our team of experienced Engineers and technicians work with our clients closely to bring their project vision to reality, and in keeping with the client’s needs, timelines, and budgetary requirements. The Prakash Consulting team is kept manageable in size in order to customize our service to our clients and we continually update our processes and training to enhance our performance and provide exceptional expertise for any projects we consult.

Prakash Consulting Ltd also values our professional relationships across a broad spectrum of clientele and associates. We have been fortunate to build many long lasting relationships with our clients which have resulted in numerous collaborations across the province of Saskatchewan. We have great working relationships across a wide-ranging field of engineering and architectural firms which enhances our professional profile, and allows us to better serve our client’s needs

This is also reflected in the varied backgrounds of the Prakash Consulting team. We believe it is important to embrace the different cultures of our clients to not only ensure we identify and respect their needs as a community, but to also enhance our experience and our capabilities to provide the exceptional service they merit.

Community Initiatives

Prakash Consulting is very proud to be based in the City of Prince Albert, and we show our appreciation and fondness for the community through the support of local initiatives, charities, and fundraisers. We believe it is important to give back to the community which we all live, work and play, and to help bring awareness to causes that improve our City for our citizens and their families.

We also hold membership to the local Prince Albert & District Chamber of Commerce and hold a seat on the Development Appeals board for the City of Prince Albert.
